Carter Healthcare achieves five star rating
August 8, 2016 -
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have awarded the Carter Healthcare McAlester office five stars in the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating. Carter Healthcare is the only home health provider in McAlester to receive five stars.

The CMS five-star quality rating system rates the nation’s home health agencies on a one to five star scale based on nine of the 29 process and outcome measures during a 12-month period. This star rating provides a single indicator of an agency’s performance compared to other agencies.

“It is a huge accomplishment to be able to earn a five-star rating,” said Brad Carter, chief operations officer at Carter Healthcare. “Our team members strive to provide the very best care and this rating is a testament of just how successful our team has been at providing this highest quality care.”

Carter Healthcare, with its five-star rating, is able to distinguish itself from other providers in Oklahoma.  Of 287 home health providers rated by CMS in Oklahoma, Carter Healthcare of McAlester is one of three to receive five stars and the only agency located in McAlester to do so.  The average star rating in Oklahoma and the U.S. is three stars.
